What is the mark of the beast?

The mark of the beast, mentioned in the context of the seven years of tribulation in Revelation, is a symbol of faithfulness to a malevolent force. Those who bear this mark will be allowed to engage in buying and selling but will face severe consequences. In contrast, God's mark, as described in the Bible, symbolizes freedom and gratitude, especially following the deliverance of the Jews from Egypt. While God's mark signifies freedom and is tied to His commands, the mark of the beast signifies enslavement to opposing forces.
